13th May 2009 marks the official start of Almost Bourdain, although this blog account was registered back in December 2008. I am humbled and overwhelmed by the number of readers visiting my two-month old blog. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your time spent here and your kind words on the comment pages.
I am still finding my way into the blogging world and looking forward to meeting new foodie friends. Any tips and advice for improvements are much appreciated.

- My favourite word: Velvety.
- I am allergic to alcohol.
- I have a chemistry degree but I do not, and will never venture into, molecular gastronomy.

- Mr J proposed to me in Puerto Rico 11 years ago and we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on 11th May 2009. Our little Miss C is turning 7 next month.

Congrats! I just received one of these awards from another blogger, and I love Ravenous Couple too. I'm not familiar with the other blogs, so I'll have to check them out. Isn't is nice that this awards allows you to spread rays of sunshine around. It's great.

I love your blog equally :) Like you, I started blogging around the same time (29 April 09, to be exact) and I never in my life expected things to take off so quickly.
